PODCAST

Steal somebody's thunder
the first podcast is discussed about an idiom, ‘Stealing (someone else) thunder’. So, what does it means? It means something that takes attention away from what someone else has done. Or an act which someone use your idea and make them your own.
Example:
I kept quiet about my pregnancy because Cathy was getting married, and I didn't want to steal her thunder.
Another example: I have a great idea for a new story but a colleague heard me talking about it. In the next meeting, he suggested my idea like it is his own. He stole my thunder. So I think it’s kind of similar to plagiarism. Stealing someone idea for gain any kind of appreciation is bad and it is really similar to plagiarism. If you have a dream, don’t tell anyone about it, but show people when you make your dream come true.

Burned Up

The second podcast is about another idiom, ‘Burned Up’. So, what does it means? It is the same as fever, mad/angry, or making someone else mad.
For example, paid attention to this sentence:
-You’re really burned me up, you make me so angry
-I’m really burned up at Bob’s behavior
-Your body is burned up (fever)
-The fire burned up the paper into ashes (burn up)
